CoreysWave Cancellation Policy
CoreysWave has a 48-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY. We have limited surf spots available per hour, so please do not schedule if you are not confident you can attend. Any reservations cancelled 48 hours prior to the reserved appointment time shall not be charged to the reservation credit card. Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of the reserved appointment time will be charged to the reservation credit card at 100% of the cost of the service. CoreysWave reserves the right to cancel lessons in the event of surf and weather conditions which, in its judgment, might pose a danger to clients. In such cases, clients’ credit cards shall not be charged for the cancelled lesson. CoreysWave will cancel lessons for any conditions that are unsuitable for surf lessons, including unsuitable surf conditions, strong winds, thunder and lightning, heavy rain, rip currents. If CoreysWave has deemed surf and weather conditions appropriate for learning on a given day, the lesson remains as scheduled. Late lessons begin at the scheduled time. Students who arrive to their lesson late will use the remaining time for their allotted appointment. Emergency situations may be given consideration. Payment is due at the start of the lesson. Venmo and Zelle payments are appreciated.

Kids' first experiences with the ocean will shape their attitude towards it for the rest of their lives. It's important to get your kid off to a fun and safe start. Kids will learn respect for the ocean and the environment in a positive, organized, group setting. They will make new friends, receive personalized attention and develop a connection with the ocean that they will always remember. Our staff of professional surf instructors will take kids to the next level while creating new interests in protecting our coastal ecosystems.
Kids' Surf Discovery
Kids’ Surf Discovery (for Beginner Surfers) is back in 2024!
Our Kids' Surf Discovery (KSD) program is a two hour long semi-private group lesson designed for beginner education in surfing and exposure to the ocean and waves in our backyard! Parents and kids can expect in-depth beginner surf instruction geared towards instilling lasting knowledge of surfing and ocean safety. In addition to refining basic skills, kids will learn different surfing techniques, learn about ocean safety, wave management, surf etiquette and environmental awareness, and may try different surfing styles (i.e., stand-up paddling, boogie boarding). The Kids' Surf Discovery lessons and activities may also include body surfing, beach games, and stand-up paddling.
The idea behind the Kids' Surf Discovery program is to get kids stoked on surfing and more comfortable and confident in the ocean! Kids ages 8-11 can register for our daily (weekday) Kids' Surf Discovery program and learn essential ocean safety knowledge while learning basic skills on their first day! We recommend that kids enroll in our Kids’ Surf Discovery program or take private lessons before they join the Kids' Surf Academy (see above).
Kids' Surf Academy
CoreysWave Kids' Surf Academy (for Intermediate to Advanced Surfers) is TBD in 2024!
The CoreysWave Kids' Surf Academy is a two hour long semi-private group lesson for intermediate to advanced kid surfers. The CoreysWave Kids' Surf Academy is designed to accelerate surfing development via advanced instruction and encouraging kids of similar advanced skill levels to surf and learn together. CoreysWave instructors will educate each kid on different surfing techniques, try different surfing styles (i.e., stand-up paddle surfing), learn from other kids and different instructors, and learn about ocean safety, surf etiquette and environmental awareness.
The idea behind the CoreysWave Kids’ Surf Academy is to get kids stoked on surfing, and to develop confidence, proficiency, and awareness in the ocean. Intermediate and advanced kid surfers ages 8-16 can register for our daily (weekday) Kids' Surf Academy. We require that kids take private lessons or enroll in our new Kids’ Surf Discovery program before joining the Kids' Surf Academy. Exceptions may be made for advanced kid surfers.
